Jewellery designer, an academic lecturer. Her designs have been shown at exhibitions in a number of cities, including Berlin, Milan and New York. She is the founder and owner of the ORSKA artistic jewellery brand. Anna Orska has designed thousands of jewellery patterns and small design forms. She is noted for her unconventional approach to design with regard to materials in use and the concept of a collection. She was the forerunner of upcycling in the Polish jewellery craft. She created jewellery from things such as old sailing ropes, automotive parts or 1000-year-old oak wood from the construction of Mieszko I’s burg city on Ostrów Tumski in Poznań. Anna Orska travels in search of inspirations. Some of the artist’s collections have been designed and made abroad as a result of influence of the traditional handicraft. She has made jewellery collections together with local craftsmen in Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico and Peru.
